In this overview, Dr. Wendy Silverman provides a description of the components common to evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders in children. Wendy Silverman, Ph.D., ABPP, is the Director of the Child Anxiety and Phobia Program (CAPP) and Professor of Psychology at Florida International University. She is board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. She is an internationally renowned expert in child anxiety and has written four books and more than 150 scientific papers on this topic. She is past president of the American Psychological Association Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, recipient of numerous NIMH grants, and has served as editor and associate editor of leading scientific journals in the field. Dr. Silverman has 30 years of experience in training and supervising students in working with children and adolescents who have problems with extreme fear and anxiety.Course Materials
